    Description

    Here's a pretty rare find.  It's a Ronson Lighters REPAIR-A-LITE SYSTEM #1000.  It would have been used by a retail drug stores or wherever Ronson lighters were sold.  The hinged cover box measures 7" by 6".  It's fitted with 16 separate little boxes marked with all the various parts and pieces for Ronson lighters; Models STANDARD, WHIRLWIND, PRINCESS and VANGUARD.  Most of the boxes still have parts in them but a few are empty.  Also has the Order Blanks to order more parts from the maker, MAHAR & ENGSTROM of Boston. Also has a bright red Poster advertising the Lighter Repair Service.   Harkens back to the days when everyone smoked and carried a lighter and they weren't cheap.  If it stopped working, you'd get it repaired and not just junk it and buy a new one.   Nice concept...
