Description
USA SALES ONLY. SORRYI believe this
very rare badge
is from the
Pacific Electric Wire and Cable Co
., Ltd. but
I am not sure.
It is the only badge of a company or organization with these initials that I can find which includes the 4 letters in this order.
Because it also shows
wires (cables?) extending from a pole or the like, I think this is it.
I must leave the final decision to you, however.
The reverse of the badge includes the wording CHILDS CHICAGO, this being the apparent manufacturer.
(I believe this is the former
S. D .Childs & Company)
The badge has a screw-on capture nut apparently of brass. It fits perfectly.
(Please note there is also an organization named the
P
ro
E
lite
W
orld
C
hampions which involves barrel racing with horses. I do not believe this could be it).
If P.E.W.C.:
If the

on Apr. 14, 1950 and was originally named Pacific Wire Manufacture Factory prior to changing its name to simply PEWC on Dec. 30, 1957 for the purpose of broadening business. PEWC has two production plants in Taiwan -- Dashi Plant and Yangmei Plant in Taoyuan.
