    Description:
    This is a very nice rectangular clear glass paperweight having a flat profile. This vintage paperweight has a black and white image of a man wearing a fez within an oval above the image of the Pyramids and Sphinx of Egypt and a large building with lots of people in front of it. The paperweight has inscription suggesting it relates to the Syria Temple in Pittsburgh, PA. The man in the Fez is George E. Meyers the Illustrious Potentate, and the image of the people gathered in front what we believe is the convention Center in Atlantic City New Jersey represents the gathering associated with the Atlantic City Pilgrimage of the temple membership in September 17-21, 1924. The paperweight has a white colored enameled backing, which is applied to the back. A nice historic paperweight celebrating an important event in the history of this Fraternal Order or Society. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of the description.
